It's Songkran this week, the traditional Thai New Year, and many people have left Bangkok to visit their homes. Many of the red shirt protesters are from the countryside, so it remains to be seen how the protests will affect the usually spirited celebration of Songkran, and vice versa. I'll leave you with a couple of pictures of Em from school on Friday, when they had a school-wide Songkran celebration and were invited to wear traditional Thai clothing...

Thank you for praying for Thailand and for us!

Emmy looks smashing in her Thai outfit! I sure hope some big water fun happens despite the political unrest.
I'm sorry to hear about the violence and will pray for resolution. Emmy is a beauty in her Thai outfit.
Hey, John was wondering if you all might have a chance to pick up some soccer jerseys for our boys before you head back this way, if it's convenient? But please don't make a special trip...especially if it entails going downtown.
Happy Songkran! Stay dry this week...or don't, if that's more fun! :)
